A polyp is an abnormal growth of tissue (tumor) projecting of a mucous membrane. If it is up to the surface by a narrow, elongated rod connected, which is said to be pedunculated. If no stalk is present, say that sessile. The polyps are common in the colon, stomach, nose, bladder and uterus. It can also occur in other parts of the body, where they exist, such as the mucous membranes of the small intestine.

Get it now reviewed. Ask your doctor, not your dentist.
If anything, just recently, that maybe something else, investigation and disposal needs.
Could embarrassing if it is ignored.
